Learn directly from the expert! Maryellen Rooney Moreau, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, designed the Story Grammar Marker® Narrative Development Approach in 1991 and founded MindWing Concepts, Inc. As Founder and President, she has authored 18 publications and created 45 hands-on tools and activities. She has also presented on the discourse level of language and its link to literacy, knowledge, and social-emotional learning to thousands of educators worldwide.
Maryellen’s 50-year professional career includes school-based SLP, college professor, diagnostician at the Curtis Blake Child Development Center, Coordinator of Intervention Curriculum and Professional Development at the Curtis Blake Day School for children with dyslexia and language learning disabilities. In 2011, Moreau received the Boise Peace Quilt Project Award for her work with children in the areas of conflict resolution and social communication. In 2014, she received the Alice H. Garside Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Dyslexia Association, Massachusetts Branch (MABIDA) for exemplary leadership, service, or achievement in the area of helping children with dyslexia and language learning disabilities. Moreau is an internationally recognized presenter.

This program is offered for a maximum of 0.6 ASHA CEUs (6 hours, Intermediate level; Professional area). No partial credit will be provided. Participants must be present for the entire course and provide course feedback in order to receive ASHA CEUs. ASHA CEUs are awarded by the ASHA Continuing Education Board once eligibility requirements are met.

The Story Grammar Marker® Master Class will be provided online, LIVE by accessing a Zoom meeting link. The course will be recorded for future use by MindWing Concepts, Inc. The course content will include lecture, video(s), case study review, break-out group activities, group discussion, and question and answer sessions. Attendees’ microphones will be muted during the workshop. Questions may be posed by listeners by “raising their hand” (live) or using the “chat” feature on Zoom. Questions posed using the “chat” feature will be shared by the moderator with the presenter and addressed.

There is a fee for this course and it will be rescheduled if canceled for any reason. If for any reason, the course is canceled by MindWing Concepts (and can NOT be rescheduled), MindWing Concepts, Inc., will notify participants via email and refunds will be issued. If you are ill or there is another emergency and you are not able to attend on these dates, we will transfer your registration for the next available SGM® Master Class.
